[SUSPENSE/THRILLER] In real life, we never know what’s waiting just around a corner and some are addicted to the thrill until that becomes more than they can handle. We meet people and sometimes fall in love with who they present themselves to be. We get wound up in their twisty complicated messes and try to get away when it’s too late.
• FLOW: Moderately fast paced stories with chapter-ending cliffhangers.
• Proven category tropes including, but not limited to, mysterious strangers.
• Protagonists: Mysterious heroines or heroes who prefer their solemnity.
• Strong conflict. Who is this person? Where did they come from? What do they really want?
• POV: 1st person POV is preferred and must be incredibly strong. 3rd POV is acceptable but must be exceptional. Non-primary characters should NOT have their own POV.
• Authors we love: Paula Hawkins, Julia Whelan, John Grisham.
• Heat levels can be anywhere from a simmering spark to blazing.
• Single title manuscripts must be complete at 50-75K words in length.
• Series titles can be 45-60K words in length and must be presented as complete serialized packages.
• A concise and compelling query, with synopsis, is required for submission
• Age play/Pedophilia
• Bestiality. Steamy shifter sex (in human form) is welcome.
• Edge play. Including, but not limited to, blood, breath, scat/urine, knife, and gun. If it’s not safe, we’re not interested.
• Incest. No blood relatives, please. We do, however, accept step-siblings, and in-laws.
